GEORGE TOWN, November 26 – Penang Hill Corporation (PHC) has announced the return of its free year-end shuttle service from December 25 to 28, 2025, providing convenient transportation between KOMTAR and the Penang Hill Lower Station in collaboration with Rapid Bus and supported by the Penang State Government.
Running from 9am to 9pm with eight round trips daily, the shuttle aims to ease congestion, support Penang2030’s green mobility goals, and improve visitor experience during peak holiday seasons, with past years recording over 10,000 total passengers since the initiative began in 2023.
Wheelchair-accessible buses, clearly marked “Penang Hill Free Shuttle,” will operate at 1.5-hour intervals, with pick-up points at KOMTAR’s Station 9 on Jalan Ria and Penang Hill Lower Station, while visitors may refer to PHC’s website for full schedules or take Rapid Penang’s Route 204 as an alternative when buses reach full capacity.
