KUALA LUMPUR, November 26 – A tropical storm is set to impact northern Peninsular Malaysia, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and rough seas, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) warned today.
As of 11 am on November 26, 2025, the storm was located at latitude 4.5° north and longitude 97.9° east, approximately 284 km southwest of George Town, Penang, moving west-southwest at 9 km/h with maximum winds reaching 83 km/h.
MetMalaysia has urged the public to remain vigilant during the Northeast Monsoon season and to monitor official updates through its website, myCuaca app, social media channels, and hotline 1-300-22-1638.
Residents in affected northern states are advised to prepare for continuous heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and turbulent seas over the coming days.
