Iconic Marjorie Hotel Unveils Festive Christmas & New Year Buffets at Tiffin Hall

The holiday season shimmered brightly at Iconic Marjorie Hotel, Penang, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, as guests gathered for a magical Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony accompanied by an exclusive festive buffet preview at the beautifully decorated Tiffin Hall. The event marked the beginning of the hotel’s year-end celebrations, bringing together media, partners, and invited guests for an evening filled with warmth and cheer.

Guests were delighted with an extensive preview of the hotel’s Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner on December 24 (RM238+ per adult) and the Christmas Day Buffet Lunch on December 25 (from RM188+ per adult). The spread featured a colourful medley of sweet and savoury offerings, including Pista Mango Bavarois, Chocolate Log Cake, Yuzu Meringue Tart, Black Forest Cake, assorted breads such as French Baguette and Ginger Rye Loaf, as well as classic Nyonya kuih and festive pies.

Beyond desserts, the buffet showcased an impressive selection of hearty dishes. Highlights included Chicken and Beef Satay, assorted grilled favourites like Chicken Wings and Octopus, Seafood Otak-Otak, Roasted Lamb, Kam Heong Crab, Black Pepper Beef, and signature local delights such as Char Koay Teow. Guests also enjoyed international selections featuring Smoked Salmon Salad with Cranberries, Japanese sushi assortments, Shishamo, and a variety of salads including Smoked Duck with Pomegranate.

To complement the feast, refreshing beverages such as Mango with Passion Fruit, Soursop Calamansi, infused waters, and classic Lemonade were served throughout the evening. The culinary team ensured a vibrant fusion of local, Western, and Japanese inspirations, setting the tone for a festive dining journey that appealed to all tastes.

A heartwarming highlight of the evening was the official Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, officiated by Group General Manager Mr. Kevin Cheah. The ceremony also unveiled Pico The Penguin plushies, a signature feature of the hotel’s “A Hug of Hope” charity campaign. Available in three colours at RM30 each or RM80 for a set of three, the plushies are dedicated to supporting the Salvation Army Penang Children’s Home, The Children’s Protection Society, and Penang Shan Children Home.
