NIBONG TEBAL, November 27 – Seetek EMS, a member of the Netherlands-based Hypex Electronics Group, has officially relocated to a new and larger facility in Nibong Tebal, Penang, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth.
The upgraded site offers expanded production space and improved workflow efficiency, including the addition of a third Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line to meet growing customer demand for advanced printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) production.
YB Tuan H’ng Mooi Lye, Penang State EXCO for Local Government and Town & Country Planning, commended Seetek’s expansion, highlighting Penang’s robust industrial ecosystem and reputation as the “Silicon Valley of the East.”
Seetek Managing Director Hans Meijndert expressed confidence in Penang’s manufacturing strengths, emphasizing that the new facility reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation, quality, and continued investment in technology and talent within the region.
