GEORGE TOWN, November 29 — The Penang City Council (MBPP) has announced that a new one-way traffic system will be implemented along Jalan Khidmat and the back lane of Lorong Delima 1 beginning December 3, 2025, at 8.30am.
The changes, which affect the back lane of Lorong Delima 1 heading toward Lintang Delima 5 and the service road from Lintang Delima 5 to the side lane, will replace the current two-way arrangement. The council said the move aims to reduce congestion, smoothen traffic flow and minimise conflicts along the busy stretch.
The one-way system will operate on a trial basis for a minimum of three months, during which public feedback is welcomed. Residents with enquiries may contact MBPP officers at 04-259 2202 (Puan Noorhasimah) or 04-259 2197 (Puan Nurhakimah Hani).
