KUALA LUMPUR, December 2 – The Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB), through its Compliance Officers’ Networking Group (CONG) and with the support of Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission Malaysia, and Labuan Financial Services Authority.

Convened over 1,200 banking professionals and 50 global experts at the 15th International Conference on Financial Crime and Counter Terrorism Financing (IFCTF) 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. Themed “The Future is Now: Tech-driven Compliance in the Fight Against Financial Crime,” .

The conference spotlighted AI, machine learning, and cross-border collaboration as key tools in combating escalating fraud and illicit financial flows. Leaders including BNM Governor Dato’ Sri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour and AICB Chairman Tan Sri Azman Hashim.

Underscored that while technology is reshaping compliance, ethics and human judgment remain the core defences in safeguarding trust, integrity, and resilience across Malaysia’s financial ecosystem.
