KUALA LUMPUR, December 7 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim gave his Cabinet a glowing assessment during a recent spontaneous midterm review, saying none of his ministers lagged behind and that their collective performance could be seen through improvements in national well-being.

Speaking at the Rancakkan Madani town-hall event in Putrajaya, he stressed that policy success should be measured not only through economic indicators but also through human values, noting that true progress means “leaving nobody behind.”

Anwar said detailed evaluations were conducted for every ministry and that open engagement sessions help the public better understand government achievements. In a separate address at the same programme, Anwar said Malaysia is on track to eliminate hardcore poverty by March 2026.

Citing aggressive government aid that has already reduced the national hardcore poverty rate to 0.09 per cent. He emphasised that the remaining cases are small enough to be resolved within the first quarter of next year, positioning Malaysia ahead of many developed nations still grappling with homelessness and extreme poverty.
