SINGAPORE, December 8 — The Ascott Limited has launched one of the world’s first open-access Disability Inclusion Playbooks for the accommodation sector, offering a holistic framework to guide hotels in creating accessible spaces, services and employment practices.
Developed with disability inclusion experts and supported by SG Enable, the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance and the Valuable 500, the playbook was introduced alongside Ascott’s new global commitments.
Including standardised accessibility profiles for all properties, mandatory disability awareness training for all frontline staff by 2027, WCAG-compliant digital platforms by 2028, and annual reporting on the hiring of persons with disabilities starting 2026.
Marking a major industry step toward a more inclusive global hospitality landscape.
