SEOUL, December 11 — Samsung Electronics has introduced the One UI 8.5 beta program, delivering a suite of new features designed to make content creation, device connectivity and security more intuitive across the Galaxy ecosystem.
The update enhances productivity through tools like the upgraded Photo Assist, which allows users to generate and edit images continuously without saving each step, while improved Quick Share now recognises people in photos and suggests sending them directly.
The update also boosts cross-device functionality with Audio Broadcast for LE Audio-supported devices and Storage Share, which displays files from other Galaxy devices directly within the My Files app and enables file access from TVs and other Samsung products.
Strengthened protections such as Theft Protection, Failed Authentication Lock and broader identity checks reinforce overall device security. The One UI 8.5 beta is available from December 8, beginning with Galaxy S25 series users in selected markets, who can register via the Samsung Members app.
