KUALA LUMPUR, December 12 – Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil told the Dewan Negara that technical issues affecting the rollout of the new NG999 emergency platform have been fully resolved following a meeting between his ministry.

The Health Ministry and Telekom Malaysia, with personnel-related problems addressed and no remaining system disruptions, while adding that any potential breaches during the early implementation stage will be reviewed by a joint committee.

As the RM1.25 billion NG999 system—developed to replace MERS999—continues operating as intended alongside wider government efforts to strengthen online safety, curb harmful content, and support Malaysia’s digital creative industry.
