KUALA LUMPUR, December 13 — The Communications and Multimedia Content Forum of Malaysia (Content Forum) revealed that its 2025 nationwide public consultation on the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Content Code attracted 1,891 submissions, with young Malaysians making up the largest group of respondents.
The feedback emphasized stronger safeguards on AI, child protection, age-appropriate content, diversity, and fairness in complaints handling, reflecting public demand for a safer and more ethical digital environment.
Mediha Mahmood, CEO of the Content Forum, noted that the consultation not only tested every line of the Code but also provided clear direction for its revision, ensuring it remains inclusive, future-ready, and responsive to the evolving online landscape.
