KUALA LUMPUR, December 16 — EPG, a Singapore-based provider of modular data center solutions with major manufacturing operations in Johor Bahru, has secured BOMBA certification for its containerised modular products, becoming one of the first in the sector to meet Malaysia’s mandatory fire-safety standards.
The certification enables faster deployment of EPG’s systems nationwide while reinforcing Malaysia’s growing role as a manufacturing and export base for high-demand data center technologies. With the company expanding its Johor footprint — including a RM380 million smart factory opening in 2026.
Malaysia-made modular units will support up to 550 MW of data center capacity and be exported to markets such as Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, strengthening the nation’s standing in the regional digital infrastructure supply chain.
