PETALING JAYA, December 16 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is set to announce his new Cabinet at 3.30pm today, with the livestream available on Facebook and major media networks, including Bernama and RTM.
In a Facebook post, Anwar emphasized that the MADANI government will continue to prioritise strengthening governance and enhancing policy implementation to ensure the well-being of the people and the nation.
The announcement comes amid four vacant Cabinet posts: Economy; Natural Resources and Environment Sustainability; Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives; and Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI).
These vacancies arose following resignations by PKR’s Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, UPKO’s Ewon Benedick, and the end of Tengku Zafrul Aziz’s term. In the interim, Finance Minister II Amir Hamzah Azizan, Plantation and Commodities Minister Johari Ghani.
And Works Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi have been overseeing the respective portfolios.
