KUALA LUMPUR, December 19 – Pos Malaysia has launched a special commemorative stamp collection celebrating the 100th anniversary of Rubber Research in Malaysia, honouring a century of innovation since the establishment of the Rubber Research Institute in 1925, now known as the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB).

The collection pays tribute to Malaysia’s global leadership in rubber research, including breakthroughs such as Standard Malaysian Rubber (SMR), high-yielding clones, Ekoprena®, and Pureprena®. A highlight of the launch was a special stamp-signing session with MRB Director General Dato’ Dr Zairossani Mohd Nor at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The limited-edition collection features a unique rubber-effect print on the miniature sheet, showcasing a tactile texture created from specialised oil to mimic real rubber. Priced at RM45.60, the folder set includes a stamp sheet, miniature sheet, two first-day covers and a folder.

And is now available at all Pos Malaysia Philatelic Bureaus, post offices nationwide and online while stocks last. Pos Malaysia said the release reflects its commitment to preserving national heritage and celebrating Malaysia’s achievements in science, industry, and sustainability.
