GEORGE TOWN, January 1 — Due to overwhelming public response and strong visitor turnout, Blank Canvas has announced an extension of Hong Kong artist Sim Chan’s solo exhibition, The Infinite-land (Penang). Originally slated to end on December 29.
The exhibition will now run until February 23, 2026, giving more visitors the chance to experience Chan’s “theme park-like dreamscape,” which has drawn crowds since its opening on December 6 and echoed the viral success of his earlier showcase in Tainan.
Curated by Kobe Ko, the exhibition features three key series — In Endlessness, Wandering and WindowScape — presenting miniature worlds through 3D light sculptures, mobile installations and light paintings that reflect urban life with playful imagination.
Visitors are encouraged to interact with claw and gacha machines offering chances to win pieces of Chan’s artwork, enhancing the immersive experience. The Infinite-land (Penang) is on view at Blank Canvas, 85 Lorong Soo Hong, George Town, from Thursday to Monday, 12pm to 7pm, until February 23.
