KUALA LUMPUR, January 9 – The Malaysian Youth Council (Majlis Belia Malaysia, MBM) has welcomed the MADANI Government’s continued commitment to institutional reforms, including plans to separate the roles of the Attorney General and Public Prosecutor and to introduce legislation limiting the prime minister’s tenure.
Describing the moves as vital to strengthening governance, institutional integrity and democratic checks and balances. MBM also commended initiatives to ease the cost of living through Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA).
As well as the government’s agreement to extend the Sejati MADANI initiative to youth organisations, pledging close cooperation with the Youth and Sports Ministry and the Prime Minister’s Department Implementation Coordination Unit.
While urging the government to prioritise quality job opportunities and fair wages to ensure a stable and resilient future for young Malaysians.
