IPOH, January 11 — Political Secretary to the Prime Minister and Finance Minister Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim has urged all parties within the Madani unity government to put an end to internal disputes and focus on strengthening economic resilience and political stability, saying prolonged polemics serve no benefit to the nation.
Responding to DAP Socialist Youth’s call for Umno Youth chief Datuk Muhamad Akmal Saleh to resign as a Melaka state executive councillor after urging Umno to leave the unity government, Muhammad Kamil said decisions on the coalition’s direction had already been made and should be respected with organisational discipline, even amid differing views.
He warned against repeating past mistakes that led to political instability and economic uncertainty, stressing that leaders must learn from history, serve the people, and move forward together in line with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s call for cooperation to ensure national stability.
