KUALA LUMPUR, January 16 – Beruas marked a new chapter in its transformation into a historic tourism destination with the launch of Dataran Gangga Negara, a RM5 million heritage-led rejuvenation initiative by Vale Malaysia and Majlis Perbandaran Manjung, officiated by Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad on January 12, 2026.
The project revitalises the town centre through mural-adorned streetscapes, upgraded walkways and restored colonial-era shophouses, celebrating Beruas’ roots in the ancient Gangga Negara civilisation while strengthening community spaces and tourism appeal in line with Visit Perak 2026.
And Visit Malaysia 2026, as part of Vale’s broader commitment to inclusive and sustainable community development in Manjung.
