As Ramadan approaches, Royale Chulan Penang welcomes back its much-anticipated Warna Rasa Ramadan Buffet, running from 21 February to 19 March 2026. Designed to celebrate reflection, togetherness and gratitude, the buffet presents an extensive showcase of authentic Malaysian cuisine, blending tradition with contemporary tastes. The buffet’s highlights include crowd favourites such as the signature Kambing Golek, Gulai Daging Kawah Tradisi, Ayam Masak Merah Bonda, Sambal Sotong Bling-Bling, Siput Kupang Masak Berlada and a variety of comforting soups led by the ever-popular Sup Tulang Rawan & Rusuk Berempah. With rich flavours, bold spices and classic recipes, the spread reflects the heart of Malaysian Ramadan dining.
Adding excitement to this year’s experience are expanded action stalls (Sajian Pondok), where dishes are freshly prepared to order. Guests can enjoy favourites like Burger Cincang Cheese Leleh, Kebab Ayam, Roti John, an assortment of rotis, grilled items, goreng-goreng delights and local street-style favourites that evoke the atmosphere of a festive bazaar.
A standout feature this year is the Muhibah Section, celebrating Malaysia’s multicultural harmony by blending flavours inspired by both Ramadan and Chinese New Year. Dishes such as Kari Kepala Ikan Asam Pedas Nyonya, Dim Sum selections and Seafood Shanghai Noodles symbolise unity, shared traditions and the coming together of cultures at one table.
The dessert and refreshment offerings are equally impressive, featuring traditional bubur, kuih-muih pasar, ais kacang, cendol, childhood snacks from Kedai Runcit Tuan Fais, fresh fruits and a wide variety of classic Malaysian beverages. Together, they complete a nostalgic yet indulgent berbuka puasa experience for families and friends.
