KUALA LUMPUR, January 29 – The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) today announced that all members of its 2025–2029 Executive Committee have voluntarily resigned with immediate effect, a move described by acting FAM president Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mahadi.

As prioritising organisational responsibility over personal interests. The decision aims to uphold good governance, safeguard FAM’s reputation, and allow FIFA and the AFC to review the association’s administrative affairs without interference.

The mass resignations come in the wake of a FIFA ruling last year that found FAM and seven players in breach of Article 22 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code for submitting allegedly falsified documents during the AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers, resulting in fines and suspensions.

FAM Secretary-General Datuk Noor Azman Rahman will continue to manage day-to-day operations while an Electoral Congress is expected to appoint a new Executive Committee, restoring confidence among supporters, stakeholders, and the football community.
