KEDAH, February 1 — Novolyte Technology Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of China-based Shenzhen Capchem Technology Co., Ltd., today held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new battery electrolyte manufacturing facility at Kulim Hi-Tech Park, marking a major boost to Malaysia’s advanced manufacturing and new energy ecosystem.
Officiated by Kedah EXCO for Industry and Investment Prof Dr Haim Hilman Abdullah and attended by state, federal and diplomatic representatives, the project is slated for commissioning in the third quarter of 2026 with an annual capacity of about 30,000 metric tonnes to serve domestic and Southeast Asian markets.
Strengthening local supply chains, creating high-value jobs and supporting Malaysia’s ambitions under the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 while reinforcing Capchem’s regional expansion in clean energy technologies.
