SEBERANG PRAI, February 1 — Global low-power artificial intelligence solutions provider Syntiant Corp today officially opened its new manufacturing and research and development (R&D) campus in Penang.
More than doubling its local footprint to about 220,000 square feet, boosting annual production capacity to around 1.6 billion units and creating up to 800 high-skilled jobs, in a move that further reinforces Malaysia’s growing role as a strategic hub for advanced semiconductor and AI manufacturing.
Officiated by Penang Deputy Chief Minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo alongside Syntiant CEO and co-founder Kurt Busch, the new campus integrates production, engineering and AI research under one roof, featuring advanced MEMS processing and test and assembly capabilities.
With state and federal agencies hailing the expansion as a strong vote of confidence in Malaysia’s talent and ecosystem, aligned with the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 and strengthening Penang’s position as a leading centre for next-generation electronics and embodied AI innovation.
