KUALA LUMPUR, February 2 – Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Exabytes have launched a RM4.3 million Cloud Skills Initiative to train Malaysians, especially from B40 and M40 communities, in cloud computing and AI through fully funded programs delivered by Forward College.

The two-year initiative includes a NitroDegree Diploma in Applied Software Engineering and the AWS re/Start program, both offering AWS certification, internships, and job placement opportunities to bridge Malaysia’s digital talent gap.

The programs target youth and career-switchers, providing hands-on training in full-stack development, DevSecOps, AI/ML, and cloud fundamentals, along with professional skills and career coaching.

Part of Exabytes’ Centre of Cloud Excellence, the initiative aims to create a skills-to-jobs pipeline that supports Malaysia’s goal of becoming a regional technology hub and meeting growing demand for high-tech talent.
