PETALING JAYA, February 4 — PKR MP Rafizi Ramli has said he is content with his life and does not seek power, fame or high office, stressing that his role in politics is simply an amanah to serve and make a meaningful impact.
In a post on X, Rafizi said he has everything he needs and intends to continue doing his job as a member of Parliament to the best of his ability, adding that his views on politics are part and parcel of fulfilling that responsibility, while ultimately leaving the rest to Allah.
Contrasting himself with politicians driven by ambition, Rafizi said he would be equally happy retiring quietly like any ordinary person, free from what he described as the burden of chasing positions. He added that no individual is indispensable to the country.
Describing public service as a modest contribution to society and an investment for the akhirat, and noted that he remains satisfied with his current life — including having the time to jog daily to stay healthy.
