GEORGE TOWN, February 9 — Bukit Bendera MP Syerlena Abdul Rashid today handed over two units of PiezoWave2 Touch Multiuse focused shockwave physiotherapy machines worth RM160,000 to Hospital Pulau Pinang to support the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and promote healthy ageing.
With the equipment to benefit patients at the hospital’s Physiotherapy Unit and Klinik Kesihatan Air Itam. Speaking at the handover ceremony, she said the contribution reflects a commitment to improving quality of life.

Particularly for the elderly and those suffering from chronic pain, noting that Malaysia is moving towards an ageing society that requires not only treatment but dignified, pain-managed living. The donation, supplied by Avro Medical Sdn Bhd.
Is complemented by an additional RM40,000 from the Bukit Bendera parliamentary service centre for specialised transducers to enhance treatment precision, underscoring the focus on preventive care, rehabilitation and patient independence within the public healthcare system.
