KUALA LUMPUR, February 9 — The MyKasih Foundation has upgraded its system and increased bandwidth capacity to ensure a smooth rollout of the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) for All programme starting today, Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said.

Drawing on lessons from previous disruptions, he said the improvements were made to prevent technical issues as the one-off RM100 assistance via MyKad is extended to Malaysians aged 18 and above, allowing purchases of essential goods at selected outlets until Dec 31.

Speaking after launching the 2026 Safer Internet Day, Fahmi also urged the public to remain alert against online scams, warned against clicking SMS links, and advised victims to promptly contact the National Scam Response Centre to improve chances of fund recovery.
