GEORGE TOWN, February 11 — Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Prasarana Malaysia Berhad and operator of Rapid Penang services, has confirmed an incident involving a Route 203 bus at 3.05pm along Jalan Air Itam.
The accident occurred when a motorcycle collided into the rear of a Rapid Penang bus that was parked at the bus hub opposite the Air Itam Post Office, resulting in the motorcyclist’s death at the scene.
Rapid Bus stated that there were no passengers on board at the time and the bus captain was unharmed. The company expressed its condolences to the victim’s family and affirmed that it will extend full cooperation to the police to assist in investigations into the incident.
