KUALA LUMPUR, February 12 — YB Datuk Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, officially launched the Strategic Technology Driving Fund (PEMACU) 2.0, a programme designed to fast-track the development, scaling.
And commercialization of high-impact local technologies while strengthening Malaysia’s technological sovereignty. Building on initiatives from the 12th Malaysia Plan, PEMACU 2.0 offers two funding schemes — the Strategic Research Fund (SRF) of up to RM10 million.
The Technology Development Fund (TED) of up to RM4 million per project — targeting projects at TRL 4 to 7 across five national strategic technology areas: nuclear, space, biotechnology, hydrogen, and advanced materials, with participation from government officials, industry representatives, researchers, and invited guests.
