KUALA LUMPUR, February 13 — Sixteen Members of Parliament from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU) have expressed full support for a call by Ronald Kiandee urging Muhyiddin Yassin to step down immediately as party president.

While acknowledging his past contributions, the group stated that Muhyiddin is no longer able to unite the party or lead it towards electoral victory. They argued that a leadership transition is necessary to restore stability and refocus the party’s direction.

The MPs voiced confidence that Hamzah Zainudin is capable of serving effectively as acting president, revitalising Bersatu’s agenda in line with the people’s interests and reuniting the party to ensure future success.

The 16 lawmakers who signed the call include representatives from Kangar, Kubang Pasu, Kulim-Bandar Baharu, Ketereh, Tanah Merah, Machang, Hulu Terengganu, Tasek Gelugor, Gerik, Padang Rengas, Lumut, Indera Mahkota, Rompin, Sabak Bernam, Sungai Besar and Mersing.
