SHAH ALAM, February 14 — Amirudin Shari has urged all parties not to take the law into their own hands amid disputes involving illegal houses of worship in Selangor, stressing that enforcement must follow proper legal channels under the National Land Code.

He announced procedural improvements for cases involving structures on state land and outlined clear steps for private land disputes, including lodging police reports, issuing formal notices and activating District Security Committees to mediate before court action is pursued.

Speaking after chairing a Selangor State Security Council meeting attended by state enforcement and security officials, Amirudin said the approach aims to safeguard public order and prevent unrest following a recent incident in Rawang.

Which now under investigation by the Royal Malaysia Police, emphasising that racial and religious harmony must be protected.
