PETALING JAYA, February 14 — Former Bersatu deputy president Hamzah Zainudin posted a photograph of himself with top PAS leaders shortly after being sacked from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia.
The image, shared on Facebook, showed Hamzah at Masjid Rusila in Marang alongside PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, vice-president Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan and assistant secretary-general Syahir Sulaiman.
As well as Bersatu vice-president Ronald Kiandee and former party leaders Saifuddin Abdullah and Wan Saiful Wan Jan. “Alhamdulillah. Evening drinks at Rusila. Allah is the best planner,” he wrote. Hamzah was among 17 Bersatu leaders expelled for allegedly breaching the party constitution.
Following months of infighting between his faction and supporters of party president Muhyiddin Yassin. PAS has long been seen as backing Hamzah, including supporting his appointment as parliamentary opposition leader, fuelling speculation over his next political move after the dramatic fallout within Bersatu.
