KUALA LUMPUR, February 16 — Astro has announced that starting 1 March 2026, HBO HD, Cinemax HD, HBO Family, and HBO Hits will no longer be available on its platform, with viewers encouraged to access HBO content via the HBO Max app as a standalone subscription from RM24.90/month.
To enhance entertainment offerings, Astro will launch four new channels—Astro Showtime, Rock Action, Rock X Stream on 1 March, and Astro FAM Time on 1 April—featuring blockbuster films, action-packed titles, acclaimed series, and family-friendly content.
While subscribers to the Movies and Astro One Epic Pack will continue to enjoy access to Prime Video, Disney+, HITS Movies HD, and Astro Showcase, providing a refreshed viewing experience under the Astro One platform.
