KUALA LUMPUR, February 17 — Sultan Ibrahim and Raja Zarith Sofiah have extended their Chinese New Year greetings to Malaysians celebrating the festival across the country, expressing hopes that the occasion will be marked by joy, harmony and a strong spirit of unity.
In a post shared on the Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar Facebook page, His Majesty called on the people to embrace the festive season in a manner that strengthens goodwill and togetherness among the nation’s diverse communities.
“May this Chinese New Year celebration also bring continued happiness, well-being, and prosperity to our beloved country,” His Majesty decreed, noting that according to the lunar calendar, the upcoming celebration ushers in the Year of the Horse, symbolising energy, resilience and success.
