KUALA LUMPUR, February 18 – Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today declined to comment on questions regarding former PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli, urging the public to instead focus on unity and the festive spirit of Chinese New Year.

Speaking to reporters after attending a celebration hosted by the Malaysian Chinese Association at Wisma MCA, Anwar said the occasion should be centred on togetherness, extending greetings of “Gong Xi Fa Cai” and “Xin Nian Kuai Le” while calling for patience on other matters.

Rafizi, who stepped down as economy minister last year, has recently been vocal in raising concerns over policy and governance issues within the administration, fuelling speculation over possible disciplinary action within PKR.

However, Anwar stressed that such issues could be addressed at a later time, emphasising that the priority for now is preserving harmony and allowing Malaysians to celebrate in unity.
