KUALA LUMPUR, February 19 — The Malaysian Youth Council (MBM) has welcomed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s proposal to establish special youth committees in every mosque, aimed at enabling young people to plan and execute community and religious programs while ensuring mosques remain active centers for ummah development.

MBM expressed readiness to mobilise its entire youth ecosystem, including 117 District Youth Councils, 14 State Youth Councils, and grassroots youth associations, in collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

To implement the initiative in a structured, inclusive, and high-impact manner, with clear mandates, guided leadership training, and programs spanning spirituality, volunteerism, leadership, and community development.
