BUKIT MERTAJAM, February 23 — The Penang Road Transport Department (JPJ) achieved a record revenue collection of RM190.55 million in 2025 from 1.6 million transactions, a 7.86 per cent increase from RM176.68 million in 2024, driven largely by motor vehicle licence (LKM) transactions, said state RTD director Zulkifly Ismail.
He attributed the growth to effective revenue management, improved service delivery and higher adoption of digital services, reflecting increased public confidence in JPJ Penang’s efficiency. Speaking after a bowling tournament held in conjunction with the 2025 Media Networking Programme.
Zulkifly added that JPJ Penang also generated RM28.5 million from JPJeBid online bidding, with the PSA series recording the highest individual bid at RM401,000 and the PRR series the highest total revenue at RM3.2 million, reaffirming the department’s commitment to strong financial governance, service quality and road transport development.
