GEORGE TOWN, February 27 — Newly released aerial footage filmed in late 2025 offers a detailed preview of the planned alignment and station locations for the Penang LRT Mutiara Line, connecting Silicon Island to Komtar.
The visuals highlight the elevated rail corridor and key stops along the route, providing the public with a clearer understanding of how the long-anticipated transit project will integrate with existing urban areas and support future development.
To facilitate construction while minimising disruption, traffic adjustments will be introduced at Komtar, Batu Uban (Sunny Point–Jalan Sungai Dua junction) and the Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone under a Traffic Management Plan (TMP).
The video outlines expected lane reductions, diversions and revised traffic flow, with authorities noting that the TMP will be reviewed and refined as works progress to improve conditions for road users.
