KUALA LUMPUR, February 27 — Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said Umno and the Barisan Nasional coalition remain committed to fostering harmony in Malaysia’s multiracial society. Speaking at a breaking-of-fast event at the World Trade Centre.
He stressed that Umno has long upheld tolerance through consensus within BN and will continue doing so as part of the unity government to ensure the country remains peaceful.
Zahid also cited improving economic indicators and a strengthening ringgit as contributing to a growing “feel-good factor,” expressing confidence that Malaysians will support ongoing efforts to strengthen national unity.
