KUALA LUMPUR, February 27 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim is currently unwell due to musculoskeletal pain affecting his back and hip, Istana Negara announced today.
Medical specialists have advised the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to rest and refrain from attending official engagements to allow for treatment and recovery.
As a result, His Majesty was unable to attend a breaking-of-fast event with the Prime Minister, Cabinet members, foreign envoys and senior government officials at Istana Negara.
As well as the opening ceremony of the Sultan Ibrahim Mosque at Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM), which has been postponed.
The King has expressed his intention to resume official duties once his health improves.
