PUTRAJAYA, March 2 — The Central Leadership Council (MPP) of Parti Keadilan Rakyat has suspended Fahmi Zainol from all party positions with immediate effect pending the outcome of his court case.
The decision was made during a meeting that discussed issues surrounding his prosecution. The party’s secretary-general will also send a letter to the Penang Chief Minister regarding Fahmi’s position in the state executive council.
The party said the suspension will remain in force until the court delivers its decision. The MPP reaffirmed its commitment to upholding party discipline and integrity while allowing due legal process to take its course.
