Apple Inc. has introduced the new MacBook Air powered by the M5 chip, bringing faster performance, enhanced AI capabilities, and double the starting storage to its most popular laptop.

Featuring a 10-core CPU and up to a 10-core GPU with a Neural Accelerator in each core, M5 delivers up to four times faster AI performance than the previous generation and up to 9.5 times faster than M1 models.

The new MacBook Air now starts with 512GB of storage and offers up to 4TB, alongside faster SSD speeds. Apple’s N1 wireless chip adds Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 for improved connectivity. Available in 13- and 15-inch models.

MacBook Air retains its thin, lightweight aluminum design and offers up to 18 hours of battery life. It includes a Liquid Retina display, 12MP Center Stage camera, Spatial Audio speakers, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports supporting up to two external displays.

Running macOS Tahoe with Apple Intelligence features, the laptop targets students, professionals, and business users. Pre-orders begin March 4, with availability starting March 11.
