GEORGE TOWN, March 4 — The Yang Dipertua Negeri of Penang, Ramli Ngah Talib, has consented to the appointment of Bukit Tambun assemblyman Goh Choon Aik as a member of the Penang State Executive Council (MMKN).
The appointment, made in accordance with Article 7 of the Penang State Constitution, takes effect from the date of the official presentation of the letter of appointment and oath-taking ceremony.
Goh replaces Pantai Jerejak assemblyman Fahmi Zainol, whose service as an exco member ended on March 4. The investiture and swearing-in ceremony will be held on March 6 at 11am at Seri Mutiara, according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office.
