KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 – Opposition Leader Hamzah Zainudin has confirmed ongoing discussions to take over Parti Keluarga Malaysia following his expulsion from Bersatu last month.
Party founder Khairi Jaya said preparations are nearly complete, with talks involving Hamzah and several former Bersatu MPs, including Wan Saiful Wan Jan.
Focusing on technical arrangements for the transition. Hamzah hinted at assuming the party presidency once the move is formalised.
With an internal election planned and constitutional amendments underway. His removal from Bersatu followed a leadership struggle with president Muhyiddin Yassin.
Yet 13 MPs continue to support him as Opposition Leader, reinforcing his influence in Parliament despite recent expulsions of his allies.
