GEORGE TOWN, March 4 — Penang’s state-level Chap Goh Meh celebration concluded tonight with a large crowd gathering at the Esplanade to mark the final day of the 15-day Chinese New Year festivities.
Visitors and locals filled the waterfront area to take part in the vibrant cultural celebration, which featured traditional performances and a lively festive atmosphere. The highlight of the evening was a dazzling fireworks display that lit up the night sky, drawing cheers from the audience.
Chap Goh Meh, observed on the 15th night of the Lunar New Year, symbolises the closing of the festive season. This year’s celebration once again showcased Penang’s rich multicultural spirit and strong community participation.
