KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 – Perikatan Nasional (PN) will decide on a replacement for Hamzah Zainudin as Opposition leader during its Supreme Council meeting on March 14.
According to PN deputy secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan. Notices for the meeting have been sent to all council members, with deliberations scheduled for 11am.
Hamzah was expelled from Bersatu on February 13 over party constitution violations, prompting questions about his standing as Opposition leader.
Muhyiddin Yassin described it as inappropriate for Hamzah to remain in the role. The Supreme Council meeting will formalise the selection of his successor in the Dewan Rakyat.
