GEORGE TOWN, March 6 – Penang State Assemblyman Goh Choon Aik has been appointed as a Member of the Penang State Executive Council (EXCO), overseeing the Trade and Community Unity portfolio.
He expressed his appreciation to Prime Minister and party president Anwar Ibrahim for the nomination, and Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow for entrusting him with the responsibility.
Goh said his priorities include strengthening the local business ecosystem and supporting small and medium enterprises, while expanding trade opportunities through collaboration with the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.
He also pledged to enhance community unity by working closely with grassroots groups to ensure inclusive development and harmonious relations across Penang’s diverse communities.
