GEORGE TOWN, March 6 — Shangri-La Rasa Sayang and Shangri-La Golden Sands marked Ramadan by partnering with Masjid Lama Tanjung Huma in Batu Feringgi to prepare and distribute Bubur Lambuk to the local community.

The annual corporate social responsibility initiative saw employees, residents and community leaders working together from early morning to cook the traditional porridge, a favourite for breaking fast. A total of 700 containers in beef and prawn flavours were distributed to residents around Batu Feringgi.

The event was attended by Yussof Latiff and Mohd Syuib Mohd Azel, Northeast District subdistrict chief, who praised the organisers for strengthening community ties. Resort representatives said the initiative reflects the true spirit of Ramadan, celebrating unity, gratitude and compassion.
