KUALA LUMPUR, March 7 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the government is awaiting a report from the Attorney General before commenting on allegations involving MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki and his shareholding.

He said the findings from the Special Investigation Committee must first be received and reviewed before any conclusions are made. The committee, chaired by Attorney General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar.

Was formed to examine claims that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief held shares in a financial services company. Azam previously said his RM800,000 shareholding was transparent and complied with all procedures.
