KUALA LUMPUR, March 7 – UMNO has announced that it is opening its doors to former members who were previously expelled or suspended, as well as individuals who wish to join the party, in a move aimed at strengthening unity within the organisation.
Party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the initiative reflects the spirit of Ramadan, a time for reflection, forgiveness and rebuilding relationships.
He said the effort is meant to reunite the party’s supporters and reinforce its foundation through solidarity at all levels.
The process will be coordinated by the Rumah Bangsa Committee chaired by Mohamed Khaled Nordin, who will oversee the implementation in accordance with the party’s constitution.
UMNO expressed hope that the initiative will help strengthen the party’s unity and renew its commitment to serving religion, nation and country while working towards a better future for Malaysians.
