KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 – Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced that Malaysia recorded its highest approved investments in history in 2025, reaching RM426.7 billion, an 11 per cent increase from RM384.4 billion in 2024.
A total of 8,390 projects were approved, with the potential to create 244,902 job opportunities for Malaysians. Domestic investments remained strong at RM219.6 billion, accounting for 51.5 per cent of the total.
Foreign investments rose significantly by 20.9 per cent to RM207.1 billion, reflecting strong investor confidence in Malaysia’s economic direction.
According to the government, agencies including Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry and Malaysian Investment Development Authority will continue efforts to ensure approved investments translate into real projects, technology transfer and economic benefits for the people.
